Day 16 of 50 (again? ig counting was wrong...), I: • coded for like a little over 2h on my siege project (my self bot) trying to get adding emojis to work (and failing)

• got more help from @:jollyroger182: on adding emojis, which is clearly difficult considering even #C02T3CU03T3| went down lol

• went somewhere for like 6-7 hours (actually) by biking, which took like more than 20 minutes

• actually made 0 contributions on GitHub since none of my code has been working well enough to commit it

made this library a little while ago but never officially "shipped" it here do you play the electric guitar or bass? are you a fan of reverse engineering and/or (music) hardware hacking? if so, my new venture, Bender, might be interesting to you: Aiming to liberate proprietary music hardware through protocol reverse engineering, my first project in this space, LtAmp.py, serves to enable interfacing with the LT-series amps produced by a certain giutar manufacturer that rhymes with Bender and names their products after horses. As of now, the library: • is fully MIT-licensed, source-available~~, and star-able~~ on GitHub • is installable through pip and listed on PyPI (the python package index) • supports almost all basic functions including preset management, footswitch slot configuration, and metadata • enables the creation of other apps and tools such as CLIs, alternative GUIs, and augmentation platforms • is fully tested with the LT25 model (but should work with others such as 40-100 and Rumble) • is the first non-.NET solution for connecting to this series of amps (that I know of) If you're at all interested in this project or anything else I'm planning at Bender, please leave a star (⭐), follow the GitHub org, or reply/DM/issue with suggestions, questions, ideas (I'd be thrilled to chat about anything but music tech excites me a lot!)

Day 15 of 50 days to 2026! We are back on slack!!! It's been a rollercoaster and stuff broke but we now have enterprize! IRC was a super fun experience that I hope we continue using which leads me to my project for the day! Since I had a fair bit of free time this afternoon I mostly just chatted with my friends on IRC but then got inspired to make a little LLM bot to play with! It actually worked shockingly well just hooking it up really simply but I improved it a bunch to have conversation history and to be able to jump into conversations when it felt like it. I nicknamed the bot tacy and gave it the personality of a sassy and slightly eccentric dino :) My other project for the day was making a slack <> irc bridge! This ended up being super fun and there are still improvements to be made but all the basics work! You can link your username on slack to your nick on irc and when you send a message on irc it will display it with your profile picture on slack along with your name! For users that aren't linked they are assigned a random colored profile picture that is very similar to rainbow highlighting on irc clients. Images and files work as they are uploaded to the hackclub cdn and then shared as a link which many irc clients like halloy auto expand (this also works from the irc side to slack where it is rendered as an embed)! Formatting also works both ways and I created a custom slack mrkdwn parser to handle it! If you want to try it in slack then use /irc-bridge-user to link your user to irc nick and /irc-bridge-channel to start syncing a channel. The respective unbridge version of those commands will unlink the two and there is a /irc-bridge-list command as well. You can try the sync in #C064DNF64LU| or #C09V3DYD4QK|

hello!! last week I made a super mario maker inspired game for siege, called Goblin Maker! you can build and share levels, and browse levels made by other people! Day 13/50 Today was a lot of reading I finished the first chapter of Refactoring English and it was really good! i recommend it I've just finished reading an article about Fran Sans that's interesting too I also made a small site called wakey-wakey that tell you when you should go to sleep based on how much cycles you want to do. It's not opensource yet cause I'd like to fix some things Tomorrow I'll probably read another chapter and try to make a custom scrapbook api cuz the current one is so weird

made a creator for replicating or recreating cued shows like Eurovision or what else, and gives a LiveEdit-like and a video editor UX and experience. if you've never heard of it, it's a cueing application for live TVs and feel as if they were edited. if you want to know more, you should look up either "liveedit recreation" or "cuepilot recreation" on YouTube, and you'll get it (I'm a CuePilot user btw) source code (GitHub release later): github.com/zeankundev/Showcut download here: github.com/zeankundev/Showcut/releases/latest snapcraft.io/showcut

Yo Hack Club! 😎 So I hopped into the 50-Day Challenge with a couple of goals that I really wanna lock in before the year ends, and honestly… it’s been going well so far. My goals are: 1. To build a solid robotics team at my school. 2. Make better use of GitHub and jump into more collab projects 3. Level up my web dev skills + overall tech stack And today I’m hyped to share a little win: I just crossed 400 GitHub contributions! Day 2 update: Sadly I'm still sick and I didn't get as much as I wanted done. Did a small amount of prep for Parthenon this weekend. So excited! My sister baked cookies in my house for every attendee, so it smelled like cookies all day. Had a meeting with a partner to talk about some 2025 plans. I'm trying to get all the orgs that care about coding to align on helping people make actually real projects - and Hack Club can help with that. Did some thinking on dashboarding. We really need a good way to understand how all the current fall 2025 programs are tracking. We had that for summer and don't have that now. Reviewed our 990 before filing it and gave the last round of edits before it's submitted. Did a little bit of thinking on how to better surface and communicate awesome projects by Hack Clubbers. When you make an awesome project - whether you're a beginner or really advanced - you should feel super celebrated by the community. It's also important that projects are curated in some way for the community - or else it can feel like everything is slop. When the truth is if 20% of projects are not super high quality (everyone starts somewhere) but there are just a lot of projects overall, those 20% feel like 100% of the projects. I'm almost wondering if something like Hacker News but for Hack Clubber projects could be cool. Or some other way to explore really cool things. I created and basically finished most of my character boards for the game! (I just need one more). Ducky Diagnostics is a project designed for the PicoDucky (but just python for now)! It runs a series of commands and saves output to debug.txt with some formatting and voilà, a detailed list of spec's and more information about your device. You can download it from this GitHub link. (this was made for YSWS #C08QZ0P7QP6|)

Day one of 50 days till 2026! I wasn't able to get a ton of work done on my main goals but I did some work on registering from spring classes and got a new headshot! I tweaked my github readme a bit to look a bit better and updated my website with a new code block about me as well as giving it the ability to display hackclub emojis through cachet inspired by @Natey');DROPTABLEStudents;-- ! I also got the grant for my split keyboard thyme (thank you @TaranEntitytheIdiotEntity

) and started ordering the parts for that! I have almost everything ordered now except for machine pins and JLC getting mad about my board (they are saying its two designs in one which I kind of get? they only want to charge me $5 more though so thats good). I made a bit of progress on internship searching; I found a company called Vertiv which is quite close to where I live and I'm looking at applying for their computer engineering intern role. They seem like quite a neat company and they make products for monitoring data centers as far as I can tell.
